Sage doesn't fit the current state of her life. Her father has remarried, and doesn't seem interested in her anymore. She feels awkward at school, and her mother is pushing her to pursue goals that she's not ready for - in spite of her secret dreams. But everything is about to change. 

First, Sage is paried for a class project with Julia, the popular girl she resents. It's bad enough that their relationship is tense, then they're abducted by aliens! Now that she's on a space ship speeding across the galaxy, all Sage wants is to get back home to her normal life. Can she and Julia work together to find a way home? Any why have aliens taken two Earth girls anyway?
